Surroundings

Loenen aan de Vecht lays in the middle of the Vechtstreek, close to the river the Vecht, which floats from Muiden (Ijsselmeer) to Utrecht and ends in the Oude Gracht in Utrecht. It is a place with many tourist attractions, especially when you like cycling, walking and boating.
The villages Vreeland, Ankeveen and Nederhorst den Berg are examples of nice tourist attractions. So are Breukelen, Weesp and Nigtevecht, historical villages with nice tracks to cycle and walk.

Hint

Have a look at the site of www.routeyou.com/nl, especially the cycling route: “Buitenplaatsen tussen Loenen en Oud Zuijlen”.

In Loenen aan de Vecht, of course there is also a lot to do. Molen de Hoop, de Glashut, Beek en Hoff, Huize Bijdorp, Kasteel Cronenburgh, the Mijndense sluis and the Jaagpad are just some examples. You cannot visit all these places, but also walking by is very interesting.
